Listen

I believe everyone wants to be heard. Whether it is by writing/talking/singing/dancing/drawing, people want to be heard. Everyone has a voice of their own and they want to be known and be heard. Different people have their own different way of voicing out. When something happens, we want to be heard, we want to share what we feel and think about them. When someone discovers something amazing or invents something amazing, they would definitely want to share with people and with them listening to what we have to say. It's amazing how everyone has their own individual voice which makes them who they are, which shows people who they are, that one thing that withholds their identity. It doesn't matter whether you're shy or outgoing or socially awkward or loud, we would somehow find our own way to make ourselves be heard.

As we all want to be heard, there is a need for a listener. Listening and speaking are two things very interrelated to each other, if speaking does not exist, what is there to listen? If listening does not exist, what's the point of speaking? These two things are just amazing creations as without them, there isn't much left for us. It is impossible for someone to just speak while no one is listening but yourself, and feeling totally normal about it, as there is no real purpose to speak out. It will just be your own lonely thoughts wandering around in circles.

Occasionally, I feel as if no one really hears me out. High possibility that it's because I often speak really softly but I try my best to speak as loudly as I can. The thing is, I do repeat myself at least five times and people don't respond to me. This makes me wonder. Am I that boring, that whatever I want to say is just better being ignored? I don't really know why. Some just responds with something like a "hmm" when I am clearly seeking for an opinion. It just feels like people don't care or they aren't actually listening. It makes me feel like I have lost my voice.

You may say I have the lack of attention from people but well, don't we all want attention? We all need someone, just one person to stop and listen and respond. Just so we could just say something that matters to us, to put our thoughts and ideas into words, to express ourselves, to stand up for what is right, to be a blessing, to make a difference, to ask for help.

What more could we ask for than just to be heard?
